Ahuja alleged of rape

Well known Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja is accused of raping his housemaid. The maid who is between 18-22 years of age has confirmed the police of sexual harassment. The preliminary tests that were conducted have also confirmed the same. Police officials have told the media that Ahuja have been booked under sections of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) for rape (376), criminal intimidation (506) and wrongful confinement (342) .
Ahuja who is reportedly separated from his wife has been staying alone in his Mumbai apartment for some time now. His parents and daughter were also away when the incident took place.
According to the reports the incident took place between 3p.m to 5p.m on 14 of June. He has been sent to police custody till June 18 for the alleged charges. The detention was carried on by the Oshiwara police. It was the maid’s complaint that prompted the police to take action. “She approached the Oshiwara police at around 7 pm and told the police that Ahuja had raped her,” said Amitabh Gupta, additional commissioner of police.
According to sources the maid has been working as a domestic help in Ahuja’s flat for the last one and a half month. “He took me into his bedroom, gagged and raped me,” the victim is believed to have said in the FIR. After the incident the victim was immediately sent to the Nagpada police hospital for a medical examination late Sunday night. While Ahuja was called for inquiry he received VIP treatment. He was questioned in an air conditioned van of one of the higher police officials and taken for medical test much later.
